Johanna Treacy is professionally trained, insured and accredited as a member of the following recognised professional bodies in Ireland, such as Career Guidance Counsellor (IGC); Psychotherapy/Counselling (IAHIP, ICP, IACP); Life & Business Coach (LBCAI), Clinical Hypnotherapist (IHA).

She has further training in Family Mediation & Conflict Resolution (MAGS) and Training & Education (NUI).

She runs the SOLAS Suicide Support Group, Good Grief programme and delivers one to one counselling and support to clients, both adults and children, for the CIOC.

She runs various Grief/Loss Programmes around Clare, using the Seasons for Growth Model, in which she trained as a trainer for that programme in Glasgow University in 2001. She currently runs a SOLAS Suicide Support Group in the CIOC, on the second Saturday of each month for those who are bereaved through suicide, either recently or in the past, and gives workshops on grief and loss, and the effect it has not only on the individual and family, but also on society.

Johanna also runs other training programmes and has worked with many organisations in Clare, Kerry & Longford in the following area:

Courses can also be designed to suit individuals/organisational requirements. Johanna also works in a psychotherapy background with adolescents, adults & couples dealing with a variety of issues.

As a Clinical Hypnotherapist, she works with both children and adults who are suffering with the following – bed wetting, nail biting, anxieties, phobia’s, weight issues, blushing, and smoking, to mention just a few.

In February 2011, she designed a course called RIOTS (Re-Integrating Offenders To Society), which was nominated in the top 40 Innovative Ideas for Social Change.
